Do you feel like you're playing "Where's Wally?" when trying to find our prices? We understand that it's not that easy. Good to know
Our prices may vary from town to town, which is why we ask for your address. At Wecasa, all our prices include the equipment used by the professionals and their commute to your home. Wecasa's commission is included in the displayed price.
Our pricing reasoning
Wecasa is a website and app for booking at-home services: hairdressing, beauty, massage and domestic cleaning. We aim to help people take time for themselves and enjoy some well-deserved "me-time" while enabling more than 10,000 self-employed professionals to make a living from their work.
We have two challenges: offering at-home services at an affordable price while paying our partners fairly.😉
How can we offer fair prices?
At Wecasa, we are not afraid of taking up a challenge.
To offer our customers fair prices, we studied what traditional businesses charged (such as hairdressers, beauty salons, spas and cleaning agencies). We aim to offer a qualitative service accessible to as many people as possible.
At Wecasa, we work with self-employed professionals and are committed to offering them fair wages. This means being aware of their costs, such as travel expenses and purchase of equipment, and being respectful toward their work. Fair remuneration also enables us to build long-term relationships with the professionals and make them more engaged in our partnership.
Contrary to popular belief, at-home services do not have to be cheaper than traditional places. Although professionals don't have to pay rent, they have other substantial charges for being self-employed. Remember that a home-based professional only looks after one customer at a time. That's right; your pro will only look after you and only you throughout the whole duration of your appointment.
How much is Wecasa's commission?
We charge a 33% commission.
Here's a real-life example of an order worth £45 on Wecasa cleaning: £30 goes to the professional, £15 to Wecasa. To help you understand what the commission is for, here's a detailed breakdown of our costs:
£30: payment to the professional
This is the amount paid to the professional and is subject to taxes.
£2: financial costs
This corresponds to the secure payment system provided by an external partner (Stripe).
£2.50: customer service and insurance
We've chosen to support our customers and professional partners with an in-house customer support team. The insurance Collective Benefits covers every session booked on Wecasa.
£2.5: selection of professionals
Our goal is to find the best professionals in London, Manchester and Birmingham to meet our customers' expectations. Our sales team (to get new pros on board) and our data team (to develop the matchmaking algorithm) carry out this work.
£4: marketing costs
These actions help build Wecasa's awareness among future customers and professional partners. We use online and offline channels. We also communicate with our professional partners to provide them with helpful information for managing their businesses and creating a sense of community. The Marketing team carries out all these tasks.
£4: margin
The sales margin is the part that enables us to run and grow the business by covering its operating and investment costs.
What about Wecasa discount codes?
When we offer voucher codes, it's always taken on Wecasa's margin and never to our professional partners. Here's more info on how we handle promo codes.
