When we send you a proposal, we wait for your response for as long as possible before sending it on to another professional. However, if you don't reply quickly enough, we have to send it on; if it's no longer available for you, that means another professional has been sent the proposal and accepted it.
It's also possible that a professional who received the proposal before you accepted it after it was sent to you, or that the client simply cancelled their booking before you were able to respond.
